After watching this goal, it might not be as much of a surprise that former LA Galaxy II forward Jack McBean would go on to score 15 goals in 17 games with Los Dos in 2016.
Facing Colorado Springs Switchbacks in the team’s last preseason scrimmage ahead of the 2016 season, Jack McBean scored perhaps his finest goal of the calendar year. After receiving a throw-in at his feet, McBean begins to dribble towards the top of the box as he sends an arm-grabbing defender to the floor with a lean of the shoulder. McBean then lets loose a left-footed rocket that scorches the upper left corner of the net.

The goal won LAGalaxy.com’s Goal of the Month competition, presented by 76, for March. McBean went on to dominate in the first half of the USL season before signing a first-team contract with LA Galaxy midseason.
LA Galaxy II is counting down the top moments of the 2016 season ahead of the team’s 2017 season opener, presented by Bare Republic. Los Dos will open the 2017 USL Regular Season against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
