Night of firsts for several LA Galaxy players in their 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake | INSIDER

SANDY, Utah – Saturday night was a night of firsts for the new-look LA Galaxy.

Not only did LA Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo bag the first victory of his tenure during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake, but several members of his team enjoyed milestones of their own.

Defender Dave Romney notched the first goal of his Major League Soccer career to help the Galaxy pull level in the 69th minute. Goalkeeper Clement Diop also earned the first victory of his MLS tenure conceding once and racking up two saves.

Meanwhile, French winger Romain Alessandrini tallied the first two assists of his Galaxy tenure, providing the service on both Romney and Ema Boateng’s goals. Alessandrini wasn’t the only Frenchman with a landmark as defender Bradley Diallo made the first start of his MLS career filling in for the suspended Jelle Van Damme.
