Jose Villarreal has scored plenty of goals for Los Dos, but this just might be his best.
During the team’s road match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, LA Galaxy II found themselves down 3-0 in the first half.
In the 38th minute, Villarreal stood over a free kick from more than 30 yards out. He sent in a curling left-footed beauty, finding the top right corner of the net. The goal even sent the ‘keeper into the back of the net.
It sparked a valiant comeback effort, but Los Dos ended up losing the match 4-3.
LA Galaxy II is counting down the top moments of the 2016 season ahead of the team’s 2017 season opener, presented by Bare Republic. Los Dos will open the 2017 USL Regular Season against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
