In their first road match of the season, LA Galaxy II found themselves down 3-0 against Real Monarchs SLC with ten minutes in regulation.
Showing resilience, Los Dos got on the scoreboard in the 81st minute when midfielder Bryam Rebellon intercepted a pass and found Ethan Zubak in the box for Zubak’s first professional goal. In the 89th minute, midfielder Ryo Fujii pounced on a rebound in the just inside the penalty area, burying the shot off the bounce and brining Los Dos within one. And in the 90th minute, LA Galaxy II earned a penalty kick, successfully converted by Captain Jack McBean.
Three goals. Nine minutes. It’s no surprise this side led the USL Western Conference in goals in 2016.
