LOS ANGELES (Monday, March 27, 2017) – LA Galaxy return to action after the international break when they travel north to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 at BC Place (Spectrum Sportsnet). LA Galaxy II hit the road for the first time of the 2017 season; they’ll face San Antonio FC at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 at Toyota Field.
After a week off, the LA Galaxy will resume MLS play coming off their first win of the season, a 2-1 comeback victory over Real Salt Lake in Salt Lake City behind goals from Dave Romney and Ema Boateng and a two-assist performance from Romain Alessandrini. Captain Jelle Van Damme will return to the side this weekend after serving a one-game suspension during that contest.
During the international break, LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget collected his third cap with the U.S. Men’s National team in their World Cup Qualifier. He scored the team’s opening goal in their 6-0 win over Honduras, his first international goal.
LA Galaxy II Head Coach Mike Muñoz and his side earned a 2-0 shutout win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in the team’s Home Opener over the weekend, behind a tally from Ethan Zubak and an own goal.
