Romain Alessandrini happy with Vancouver brace but looking forward to bringing more wins to LA Galaxy | INSIDER

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Romain Alessandrini bagged his first goals in an LA Galaxy jersey in Saturday’s 4-2 defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, but the Frenchman was hardly smiling given the result.

Alessandrini notched his brace in the first half to put the Galaxy ahead 2-1 into the first half, however, the lead didn’t hold as Vancouver capitalized on defensive errors to score three unanswered goals and get their first win of the season. Despite his impressive performance against the Whitecaps, Alessandrini echoed his teammates worries that the Galaxy conceded too easily in Vancouver

“I’m happy about my first goals but I’m really disappointed about the result. We don’t defend like that. Me first, we need to be better. We were up and we conceded three in the second half. We need to work hard and to do better against Montreal,” Alessandrini told LA Galaxy Insider. “I think that too many players [made] mistakes [Saturday]. Always when you lose the ball, it’s dangerous for the team. We need to keep the ball side to side to keep the ball quiet. When we lose the ball, it’s important to defend together.

“We need to work on that. After that, we will be better."
