Great job boys!
Today marked the last match for the LA Galaxy Academy in the Generation adidas Cup Finals. The team ended on a high note defeating Eintracht Frankfurt by a score of 3-0. Jonathon Estrada, Uly Llanez, and Efrain Alvarez all recorded goals in the match.
The LA Galaxy ended the tournament 2-1-0. Their lone loss came at the hand's of Flamengo on Sunday evening. Flamengo went on to win Group B with a record 2-0-1. Flamengo now moves on to the semi-finals of the Champions Division.
Despite not advancing, the Galaxy Academy still had a strong showing in the tournament. The Academy led group B in goal differential and had the most commanding victory in group play with their strong opener, defeating Sporting Kansas City 5-1.
Uly Llanez led the team in scoring with three goals in the three matches. Uly was followed by Jonathon Estrada and Alex with two each. Efrain Alvarez and Jake Arteaga closed out the scoring, each scoring one in the tournament.
