Recycle.Goal. - 2014

The Los Angeles Galaxy and the American Chemistry Council (ACC) are teaming up to be part of an exciting program that rewards youth teams for recycling.

“Recycle.Goal.” is a competition between local youth soccer teams with players ages 9-16 that spurs some healthy rivalry as teams compete to collect recyclable materials.

Beginning August 25th, the six week program challenges teams to compete to collect the most recyclable plastics and other recyclable materials. The efforts of the young athletes will help ensure that these valuable materials make it into the recycling bin rather than the trash bin. The program ends on October 5th and weekly winners will be notified each week. Weekly prizes include gift cards, Universal Studio Passes, and more!

The ten teams to recycle the most throughout the 6 week program will be invited to a LA Galaxy-Recycle.Goal soccer clinic held at the StubHub Center on October 18th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The ten participating teams will be asked to bring recyclable materials on the day of the clinic. The team with the most materials on October 18th will win 25 Galaxy tickets to the game on October 19th along with a player meet and greet. The second team with the most recyclable materials on the clinic date will also win 25 tickets to the October 19th Galaxy game.
