TUCSON, Ariz. — Time for four MLS clubs to put a little something on the line.

Althought the 2012 Desert Diamond Cup, which kicks off on Wednesday here at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, is part of preseason, the fact that all four clubs taking part — LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls, Real Salt Lake and New England Revolution — have intriguing storylines heading into 2012 makes this tournament that much more important. After all, it is the final serious warmup competition for all of them.

Juninho: I want to continue what I've done the past two years, to score goals and to help the team compete in the tournaments this year.

CARSON, Calif. – It remains his goal to play for Sao Paulo of the Brazilian Campeonato, but the LA Galaxy isn’t a bad consolation as far as Juninho is concerned.

His smile, in fact, indicated the native of San Jose dos Campos, Brazil, is as happy as ever.

“Very happy,” he said after he made his first appearance at training this week. “I’m very happy to be back and help make the team stronger.”

NEW YORK – Major League Soccer announced Monday the schedule for the 2012 MLS Reserve League season. Each of the 19 MLS clubs will participate in 10 matches for a total of 95 Reserve League games.

The league will again be divided into Eastern, Central and Western conferences with each team playing all games within their conference. The club list for each conference can be found below.

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy’s J.T. Murray called home a couple of days ago to Grove City, Ohio, which is located just south of Columbus, and was told three inches of snow had fallen.

He reacted to the news the only way he could.
