The Star Student Program is designed to reward middle school students for their hard work, exemplary academic efforts, citizenship, and school attendance. During the 2010 Major League Soccer season, two middle school students will be recognized at each LA Galaxy home game. Nominations may be made by teachers and school-based administrators. Every nominated student will be entered into a random drawing for the opportunity to be one of two selected students to serve as a LA Galaxy Star Student. Additionally, the middle school within a 30 mile radius of Carson, CA with the most Stars of the Game nominations will receive a special LA Galaxy visit. In recognition of their accomplishments, the selected students will be recognized pre-game on the field, on The Home Depot Center’s Diamond Vision and presented a LA Galaxy Star Student t-shirt, certificate and gift package by a LA Galaxy player.
Additionally, the students will receive two (2) tickets to the selected game and have the opportunity to serve as a Ball Kid. To nominate a student, please complete the Star Student Nomination form, submit it to your school’s principal, and send it to the following:
