LA Galaxy Partner Community Initiatives during COVID-19

During this period of uncertainty, people are stepping up to help those in need to support each other and our community. The LA Galaxy continue their proud partnership with many companies who are helping in Los Angeles and the entire Southern California community.

Below are some of the ways the LA Galaxy partners are responding and helping the community of LA and beyond.

In partnership with the Governor and the California Department of Aging, AARP has launched the California For All resource card, a one-stop information guide on COVID-19 for all Californians. The resource card includes information on how to get caregiving support, how to stay safe at home, how to find important resources through the California Aging and Adults Information line, contacts to report fraud, abuse, or neglect, and more. The card and listed resources are available for free to all Californians in English, Spanish, and Chinese.

Additionally, AARP Community Connections helps address social isolation and offers virtual volunteer opportunities. The site captures information from people who would like to receive a friendly check-in call from an AARP volunteer. Additionally, the website enables users to organize their own “Mutual Aid” groups to stay connected, share ideas and sign up to help their family, neighbors and those most affected by COVID-19. Mutual Aid can include picking up groceries, providing financial assistance, or lending emotional support to your neighbors. Learn more here and volunteer today.
