CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy slipped in the latest MLS Power Rankings after a frustrating defeat last weekend.
Los Angeles slumped to a 2-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City last Sunday, despite a dominating offensive showing. The Galaxy return to action this weekend when they travel to the Windy City to take on Chicago Fire.
The Power Rankings presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment are below:
"The Galaxy struggled to repeat their almost-unprecedented comeback the previous week, reminding everyone that Zlatan won't paper over their defensive issues or the lack of cohesion. On the latter point, things should be looking up, with most of the key contributors now rounding into some form."
"No magic from Ibrahimovic this time around, as the Galaxy crashed back to earth in a 2-0 loss to Kansas City at home. Whatever the Swede's impact, LA is still a team that lacks a cohesive structure that might give it a chance in games when there are no 40-yard volleys to be had."
