Following their two-goal win over Chivas USA in last Thursday’s Honda SuperClasico, the Galaxy travel to Texas this weekend to face the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, April 10 at 5:30 p.m PT at Robertson Stadium. The Galaxy comes into the Houston game having won its first two games of the season, including 1-0 and 2-0 wins over New England and Chivas USA, respectively. Forward Edson Buddle, who scored both goals in Thursday’s win, has scored all three goals of the club’s goals this season while goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts is anchoring a defense that has posted back-to-back shutouts.

Saturday’s game is a rematch of last year’s thrilling Western Conference Championship played in November at The Home Depot Center, which LA won 2-0 in overtime. The Galaxy are 3-4-4 all-time against the Dynamo in the regular season, 2-2-2 in games played in Houston. Last season, the club went 1-0-1 in the two regular season matches against the Dynamo, including last year’s 0-0 draw at Robertson Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on tape-delay at 10 p.m. on FS West and MLS Direct Kick package. Additionally, the game can be heard locally in English on KTLK 1150 AM and in Spanish on ESPN Deportes Radio 1330 AM. Both broadcasts start at 5:00 p.m. with their respective pregame shows.

TEAM NOTES

LOOKING FOR THREE…: On Saturday, the Galaxy will look to start the season with three consecutive wins for just the third time in club history. This is the first time the Galaxy has started a campaign, 2-0, since 2002. The last time the LA started with a record of 3-0 was 1998, when the club rattled off nine wins to begin the season. The club’s longest winning streak to start a season is 12, set during the inaugural season of 1996. However, both win streaks included shootout wins.

BRIT NIGHT RETURNS TO THE HOME DEPOT CENTER: For the third straight season, BritNight returns to The Home Depot Center on Saturday, April 17 as part of BritWeek 2010. Prior to the Galaxy’s MLS Cup 2009 rematch with Real Salt Lake, fans will be able to watch a celebrity soccer game featuring a host of British celebrities from the worlds of film, music sports and television taking on a collection of celebrities from around the world.

Some of the celebrities who are scheduled to appear at the game include actor Michael Sheen, celebrity chef and TV star Gordon Ramsay and many more.

BritNight is one event of many that make up BritWeek 2010, a month-long celebration of British culture and influences to Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco. To learn more about BritWeek and the various events, please visit www.britweek.org.
