LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan will be the guest on ESPN Homecoming with Rick Reilly on Thursday, June 10, at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN. Hosted by 11-time Sportswriter of the Year Rick Reilly, the show challenges that old adage, “You can’t go home again.”  Prior to heading to joining up with the National Team, Donovan took time out of his training schedule with the Galaxy and his preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup to return to his hometown of Redlands, Calif.

More than 1,500 cheering fans and Donovan’s family and friends were in the audience, including current Galaxy General Manager and Head Coach Bruce Arena and a number of his teammates. During the hour-long show, Donovan discusses his childhood in Southern California and his rise through the ranks to become arguably the greatest player in the history of U.S. soccer.

Donovan and the rest of the U.S. National Team are in South Africa preparing for their first match of the World Cup, against England at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg on Saturday, June 12. The match kicks of at 11:30 a.m. PT and can be seen live on ABC and Univision.
