Fox Soccer Channel to broadcast friendly between LA Galaxy and Real Madrid live on Aug. 7

The LA Galaxy announced todaythat Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports enEspañol will broadcast the LA Galaxy’s match against Real Madrid live to a national audience from the Rose Bowl on Aug. 7. The match, which is presented by Pechanga Resort & Casino kicks off at 7:30 p.m. (PT), with the telecast beginning at 7 p.m. with a 30-minute pregame prior to kickoff.


The club also announced that KTLK AM 1150 and ESPN Deportes Radio KWKW 1330 AM will carry the match live on local airwaves in both English and Spanish, respectively. KTLK AM 1150’s broadcast will include a 30-minute pre-game show starting at 7 p.m., while ESPN Deportes Radio’s broadcast will have 30-minute pre-game show and post-game shows.


The Galaxy, who first played Real Madrid on July 18, 2005 at The Home Depot Center, with Madrid claiming a 2-0 victory, will return to the Rose Bowl for the second time in as many years. The club’s home stadium from 1996-2002, the Galaxy lost to Barcelona, 2-1, in front of 93,137 in their return to the Rose Bowl last August.


The match against Real Madrid will be the Galaxy’s fourth international friendly played this year. They played to a 0-0 draw with CD Aguila of El Salvador on March 21 and defeated Boca Juniors of Argentina 1-0 on May 23 at The Home Depot Center. LA also defeated Puntarenas FC of Costa Rica 1-0 at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, Calif. on March 10.
