Grass berm tickets now available for Galaxy-Red Bulls at The Home Depot Center

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, September 20, 2010) – Fans can now purchase tickets on the Grass Berm of The Home Depot Center for the LA Galaxy’s game against the New York Red Bulls on Friday, September 24. The game, which is presented by Herbalife, will kick off at 8 p.m. (ESPN2, ESPN Deportes) with berm tickets costing just $24. The entire berm is a general admission seating area and fans are encouraged to arrive early to claim the best spots.

In addition to the Grass Berm, a limited number of tickets remain in Corner ($50), Sideline ($75) and Club ($125) sections for the game against the Red Bulls. Seating in the General Admission, Endline, Upper Corner, Upper Sideline and Fieldside sections are sold out.

Always one of the league’s marquee games, this meeting is expected to be one of the most watched MLS games this season. The game will feature some of the league’s top stars, such as, David Beckham, Edson Buddle and Landon Donovan of the Galaxy against Juan Pablo Angel, Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez of the Red Bulls, as well as a number of young stars for both sides including Sean Franklin, Juninho, Tim Ream and Dane Richards.

The Galaxy have the best record in MLS (15-5-5, 50 points) and boast the MLS-leader in goals, Edson Buddle and the MLS-leader in assists, Landon Donovan. They are in line for their second postseason berth in as many seasons and will likely be joined there by the Red Bulls, who enter the weekend in second place in the Eastern Conference (12-8-5, 41 points), with the league’s second leading scorer in Juan Pablo Angel, who has 12 goals on the season compared to Buddle’s 14.
