LA Galaxy to host final Community Clinic of 2010

Community Clinic 2

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, October 26, 2010) – The LA Galaxy along with its corporate partners adidas, AT&T, Bank of America, Dreyer’s, Farmer John, Herbalife, La Curacao and Sports Authority will be hosting a free soccer clinic for children ages 8-14 on Wednesday, October 27 at Rosemead Park in Rosemead. The clinic is part of a season-long clinic series the club has hosted all year to benefit underserved youth in Southern California. The series started on March 24 at LA Red Shield in Los Angeles and concludes tomorrow. The club also held clinics in Claremont, Pasadena and Compton.

Through the Community Clinic Series, the Galaxy aim to fulfill their commitment to their surrounding community by creating health and recreational activities and programs for underserved children. The clinic series provides participants, ages 8-14, the opportunity to strengthen their soccer skills through drills that test their coordination, speed and ball handling.

In addition to the professional instruction participants receive from Galaxy Clinic coaches, they will also have the chance to learn the game directly from Galaxy forward Bryan Jordan, who will be on hand to assist the clinic coaches and interact with the children throughout the evening, while also signing autographs and taking photos at the conclusion of Wednesday’s clinic.

All clinic participants will receive a gift bag at the conclusion of the event, courtesy of our corporate partners.
