Last weekend marked the final round of 2010 for the U.S Soccer Federation Development Academy, and a handful of MLS academies have accounted for themselves headed into the year-end break.
This is particularly the case out west, as the Seattle Sounders U-17/18 side sits at the top of the Northwest Division of the West Conference. With a division mark of 4-0-1 and just one loss overall (record stands at 8-1-3), the Sounders are in good standing with a month off.
In the SoCal Division of the West Conference, the U-17/18 Academy sides of Real Salt Lake and Chivas USA sit at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
The Sounders FC U-15/16 team is also faring well at second place in the Northwest Division with an 8-2-2 record. At the same level, over in the Mid-Atlantic Division of the East Conference, D.C. United’s Academy side sits top with a 4-0-1 record.
