LA Galaxy to host Military Appreciation Night on June 3

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy announced today they will host Military Appreciation Night on June 3, when the club takes on D.C. United at The Home Depot Center. That game will be broadcast nationally live on FOX Soccer as their Soccer Night in America game of the week. Kick off is at 8 p.m., with the Soccer Night in America pregame show slated to start at 7:30 p.m.


As a way of showing the Galaxy’s appreciation for the military, the club is donating 1,000 tickets to various regional branches of the Armed Forces. Additionally, all military personnel will receive a 50 percent discount when purchasing tickets for this game. On top of the 1,000 tickets the club has already committed to donate, the Galaxy are also pledging to match the amount of tickets fans purchase through the “buy one, give one” option on lagalaxy.com/military-appreciation-night. In addition, Season Ticket Holders who would like to donate their tickets to local military personnel can do so through the same page.

Prior to the start of the game, each branch of the United States Armed Forces —U.S. Air Force, U.S Army, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy— will be recognized. Additionally, 30 recruits from the Air Force will take their Oath of Enrollment prior to the game on main field of The Home Depot Center.


Furthermore, the 1st Marine Division Band, based out of Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, Calif., will perform at the top of the Main Entrance from 7-7:20 p.m. as well as the National Anthem prior to kickoff.


Fans wishing to learn more about the U.S. Armed Forces will be able to do so at SoccerFest, where both the Air Force and Marines will be present.
