LA Galaxy game at Kansas City re-scheduled to September 5

CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, June 25, 2011) – The LA Galaxy announced today that their game against Sporting Kansas City at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park will now be played on Monday, September 5 at 3 p.m. (PT). The game, which had originally been scheduled to be played on Saturday, August 13, will still be broadcast nationally on FOX Soccer.

This will be the Galaxy’s first-ever visit to LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, Sporting Kansas City’s new stadium, which opened earlier this month in Kansas. The Galaxy won the first game of the season between the two sides earlier this year, coming from behind to claim a 4-1 victory behind two goals from Landon Donovan and one each from Juan Pablo Angel and David Beckham.

All-time, the Galaxy are 22-17-10 against Kansas City in the regular season, including an 8-12-4 mark on the road. The Galaxy were 8-12-2 at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City’s first home, before playing to a draw against them at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in both 2009 and 2010.
