NEW YORK -- Panama's Roberto Moreno, a veteran referee of the 2008 Olympics, 2010 Club World Cup and last year's CONCACAF Champions League final, will officiate the Alajuelense-Morelia match in the first round of the CCL's Group Stage on August 16.
Moreno headed the list of first-round referees announced Tuesday, which also includes Costa Rica's Walter Quesada, officiating in his fourth Champions League, for the Santos-Real Espana match; and Enrico Wijngaarde of Suriname, a three-time Gold Cup verteran who will officiate the LA Galaxy-Motagua match.
