CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, November 1, 2011) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has added a game in Indonesia to their Asia Pacific Tour 2011. The Galaxy will face a collection of the top players from Indonesia’s Super League at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in the capital city of Jakarta on Wednesday, November 30. This will be the first of three games that the Galaxy will play during their tour.

Following the game in Jakarta, which will be the Galaxy’s first-ever match in Indonesia, the team will travel to Manila to face the Philippines National Team at Rizal Memorial Stadium in a game that was announced on Friday. That game will be played on Saturday, December 3, with the team then heading to Melbourne, Australia to complete the tour against Melbourne Victory of the Hyundai A-League in the Hyundai Melbourne Challenge at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, December 6.

Local broadcast information for the entire tour will be announced at a future date.

This will be the Galaxy’s fourth trip to Asia, though it is their first since 2008. In nine all-time games in Asia, the Galaxy are 2-3-4, including a 1-0-2 record during the club’s preseason Asia Tour 2008 in which they played in Korea, China and Hong Kong. The Galaxy previously visited Australia in 2007 and 2010, losing both friendlies that they played there.

Herbalife, a global nutrition company and the Galaxy’s official presenting sponsor, will serve as an official sponsor for all three games.
