CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, June 21, 2012) – Following last night’s come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium, the Galaxy will return home to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC at The Home Depot Center on Saturday, June 23. That game, which is presented by First 5 California, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and features a number of ticketing and philanthropic initiatives for fans of all ages.

As part of the club’s partnership with First 5 California, the Galaxy are hosting Healthy Kids Night Out on Saturday against the Whitecaps. Fans can give kids the gift of soccer and help send them to the game by purchasing tickets for $15 and donating them directly to LA Galaxy Foundation Partners, who will then distribute those tickets to children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend a Galaxy game. To donate tickets, fans can visit www.lagalaxy.com/kidsnightout.

Fans can also get into the act by becoming heroes themselves by giving to the LA Galaxy Foundation, which will unveil its new branding on Saturday night. As part of their rebranding efforts, the Foundation will auction off a series of special experiences with proceeds benefitting the Foundation. While many of the experiences have already been purchased, fans can still bid on the opportunity to be an Honorary Ball Kid for the night, assist the stadium’s public address announcer Mike Araujo in announcing the starting lineups for the game or go behind the scenes of the club’s pregame radio show on KTLK 1150 AM with Joe Tutino. Before the game, the Foundation will also host its annual Equipment Sale in the Northwest corner of the stadium concourse. They will also be selling commemorative autographed t-shirts from the Galaxy Foundation booth at SoccerFest. The t-shirts each cost $40 (limit two per person) and are signed by a current Galaxy player, though fans won’t know whose autograph they are getting until they open up their shirt. Ten of the shirts will contain no signatures, but will be signed personally after the game by Galaxy captain Landon Donovan.
