CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, July 3, 2012) – The LA Galaxy and Chevrolet have teamed up to give Galaxy fans the opportunity to take Galaxy forward Robbie Keane with them on the road, wherever they may go.
The first 10,000 fans who enter the stadium for Wednesday night’s game against the Philadelphia Union will receive a complementary Robbie Keane cardboard cutout. The cutouts will be a part of Chevrolet’s “Let’s Do This Galaxy” campaign, which will see fans encouraged to take “Robbie on the road” with them and share photos of their adventures through Twitter (#letsdothisgalaxy), Instagram (#letsdothisgalaxy) or directly to a special Facebook app that can be found at www.lagalaxy.com/letsdothisgalaxy.
The contest will run until Wednesday, September 26, with Keane selecting his favorite photo at the end of the campaign. The winner will receive four tickets to the Galaxy’s home game on Saturday, October 6 against Real Salt Lake and passes to meet the Galaxy forward after the game.
In addition to the “Let’s Do This Galaxy” campaign, the Galaxy and Chevrolet have also joined forces to give one lucky Galaxy fan a road trip for four to the club’s game against the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Sunday, September 30. Fans just need to visit www.lagalaxy.com/chevrolet to enter the contest, with one winner being selected to receive roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the game against the Rapids. The promotion will open on Wednesday and entries will be collected until Monday, September 10.
Keane and the Galaxy will be back in action at The Home Depot Center on Wednesday, July 4 when the club hosts their annual fireworks extravaganza against the Philadelphia Union. That game, which is presented by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by one of the biggest fireworks displays in all of Southern California.
