Stephens looking forward to CCL minutes

As the LA Galaxy recharge their batteries over the next few days, a keen eye will be placed on the team's upcoming participation in the CONCACAF Champions League.

After a brief four day break, the Galaxy will play four games in the next ten days starting with Thursday's CCL match against Isidro Metapan on October 23rd at The Home Depot Center. This intense stretch of games could be incredibly beneficial for players like midfielder Michael Stephens. A player that would contend for a starting spot on other clubs, Stephens has only made six starts in 18 appearances this season and is expected to play a major part in the Galaxy's CCL campaign.

Stephens, who is coming off an emotional night on Wednesday in Columbus, understands that the tournament is incredibly important for his progression.

"I'm excited about it just because I've been somebody that hasn't gotten as many minutes as he would have liked this year. As we start to get into three games a week, it should provide some more opportunities for me and hopefully I can take advantage of them."
