LA Galaxy Clinic Series Continues Saturday in Rialto

CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, October 11, 2012) – The LA Galaxy are giving back to the community in Rialto this weekend. As part of the Galaxy Clinic Series, the club is hosting a free soccer clinic for 150 children from the Rialto Unified School District at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 13 at Fergusson Park in Rialto, Calif.


Through the Galaxy Clinic Series, the club aims to fulfill their commitment to the local community by creating health and recreational activities and programs for underserved children. The Clinic Series provides participants ages 8-14 the opportunity to strengthen their soccer skills through drills that test their coordination, speed and ball handling.


Helping strengthen the soccer skills of 150 children from the Fergusson Park community will be Academy Camps Coach Clint Mathis, a member of the U.S. team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2002 World Cup and former Galaxy forward, Craig Harrington, the head coach of the Galaxy Academy’s U-16 team and Galaxy rookie midfielder Kenney Walker. A current member of the Galaxy, Walker will assist the Galaxy Academy Coaches with drills as well as participate in a Q&A session and sign autographs. Time Warner Deportes studio host Elmur Souza will also be present at the event to greet the clinic participants and assist the coaches.
