On the result:
“We showed great spirit in this game to comeback twice and really, we didn’t play our best soccer, but we got a point out of the game. We took a half off. The Galaxy played well, looked dangerous, but that’s football. We’ve done this before.”
On San Jose’s second half:
“I thought we started to play better in the second half. I thought we had our chances – Chris hit the post with one shot and we had another series of quality looks in front of their goal. Overall, I was happy with the effort of our boys tonight.”

On finishing unbeaten at Buck Shaw:
“We feed off of our fans. They are loud every game we play here, and they create the best home field advantage in our league. I think some teams come in thinking that the crowd won’t be a factor because of the size of our stadium, but our fans are energetic and loud for 90 minutes. They never quit and, as a team, we can’t wait to see our fans in the playoffs.”
On clinching Supporter’s Shield:
“It’s awesome. This is very special to us because we have been working and battling hard all season long. For me personally, it’s special because I’ve been able to play with a group of men that stayed consistently hungry for 33 games and never quit. We will enjoy this tonight, then we will come out tomorrow and continue to work hard heading into the playoffs.”

On scoring 26th goal of the season:
“It was a big goal for our team, most importantly. The goal put us in a position to leave here with a point. I don’t think too much about the record, but it was special to see Roy [Lassiter] in attendance to show his support. It's an honor for me to be within one goal of sharing this record with him. My mind frame going into Portland will remain the same, which is to perform my best for my team and work for a win.”
On the result:
“It was a well-earned point for us. They always play us tough and although we are both in the playoffs, they came in here hungry for three points. I can’t say enough about my teammates who were able to respond when they needed to. We’ve been doing it all year long, and to win the season series against the Galaxy is special.”

General thoughts on tonight’s game:
“Whatever happens, happens. I think we can beat anybody in the league.”
On importance of getting a point without David Beckham and Landon Donovan:
“I’m not sure it’s gratifying, I think we should have had three points today. We should have won today.”
On character building:
“It was a good effort, some quality soccer. When you play San Jose it’s a physical game, a lot of little fouling off the ball, so it’s kind of like a playoff mentality. Our guys did well; I thought they responded well. Unfortunately we gave away a lead twice and that’s the discouraging part. The encouraging part is we played well, at times exceptionally well.”

On what LA can take away from tonight:
“We fought hard. We got ahead two times, and we let them come back both times. There was a foul that shouldn’t have been called, but it was, and the ball skinned my head on the free kick, and maybe I should have been a little taller and my head would have gotten on it, but other than that, we fought as hard as we could.”

On his team’s character tonight:
“I thought we all showed a lot of character. You have to in these games, all you want to do is get the ball and start the counters. That was our main objective is to get that second ball and create chances.
On the tie and only gaining one point:
“I think we left two points on the pitch to be honest with you. We can’t be conceding goals from set pieces, but apart from that, I think you need to give our guys credit. We played tough against 12 men and that includes the referee, so it was quite tough. We weren’t getting decisions that we thought we should have and that we’ve been getting all year so it was tough but we played through. “
