Marrufo to officiate Sunday's Western Conference Championship vs. Seattle

The Professional Referees Organization announced that referee Jair Marrufo has been chosen to officiate the Western Conference Championship First Leg at The Home Depot Center on Sunday.


Marrufo officiated five games Galaxy games with LA earning a record of 2-1-2 meanwhile he also officiated two Sounders matches with Seattle going 1-0-1 in those games. Marrufo has had some past with the Galaxy in that match with the Earthquakes as David Beckham labeled Marrufo "the star" after his ruling to award a penalty kick due to a questionable handball by David Beckham.
