LA Galaxy to Unveil Detailed Support of Boys and Girls Club of Carson

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, November 27, 2012) – The LA Galaxy announced Tuesday that AEG and the LA Galaxy Foundation have partnered with MLS W.O.R.K.S., Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, to donate a multiuse LA Galaxy branded Sport Court as well as donating sports equipment and creating year-long sports programs along with beautifying the Learning Center at the Boys and Girls Club of Carson.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, AEG President & CEO Tim Leiweke, LA Galaxy Head Coach Bruce Arena and Galaxy captain Landon Donovan, will be on hand at the Boys and Girls Club of Carson to celebrate the start of this partnership and unveil the newly upgraded Learning Center as well as the plans for the new Sport Court, which will be installed next month.


In addition to those announcements, Donovan will be joined by Galaxy teammates Edson Buddle, A.J. DeLaGarza, Todd Dunivant, Omar Gonzalez, Sean Franklin and Mike Magee in hosting a clinic for the children of the Boys and Girls Club. MLS W.O.R.K.S will donate t-shirts, water bottles and soccer balls for children to use during the clinic.
