Sorto signs Homegrown deal with the Galaxy

The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday that they have signed 18-year-old defender Oscar Sorto to a Homegrown deal.

The Salvadoran-American right back from South Central Los Angeles becomes the fourth Galaxy Homegrown in club history and the third currently on the club. A talented right back with speed going forward, Sorto has been training with the Galaxy first team since August and was a key contributor to LA's Reserve League squad and the Under-18s.

Sorto’s discussions with the Galaxy were first reported on the Insider back in September after he returned from a week-long training stint with Swedish club Hammarby IK.
