The LA Galaxy season may be over, but LA Galaxy Insider Adam Serrano will spend the next few weeks offering an evaluation of each member of the squad.VIEW CALENDAR
The LA Galaxy Player Ratings will begin with players who appeared in the least number of games this season starting with goalkeeper Brian Rowe and concluding with Sean Franklin who played in all 34 of the club’s regular season games. There will also be an evaluation of head coach and general manager Bruce Arena and his moves at the conclusion of the list.
We will have two to three evaluations per day and focus on what each player did well, what they need to improve on ahead of next season as well as a select thought from the player on their performance and a rating from myself.

LA Galaxy vs Tottenham Hotspur Highlights

HIGHLIGHTS: There’s not much that you can say about a player with just four appearances, each coming in either Reserve League (three appearances) or International Friendlies (45 minutes against Tottenham Hotspur). However, Rowe impressed enough during brief stints with the Galaxy as an MLS Pool Goalkeeper to earn a contract with the club on July 13.  Perhaps his finest moment came during LA’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham on July 24 as he made his club debut and was able to hold the English Premier League club scoreless in 45 minutes of action.

LOWLIGHTS:  The only lowlight for the 24-year-old goalkeeper was at the beginning of the season when the UCLA goalkeeper was selected by Chivas USA in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft, but was not signed to the club. This ultimately set Rowe on a vagabond trail as he signed as an MLS Pool goalkeeper making stops in Philadelphia, Portland, Toronto FC and with the Galaxy.

HIS THOUGHTS: “I bounced around at the beginning of the year and I wasn’t sure where I’d end up, but I ended up in LA with a great team. It was a lot of fun seeing how good a team this is, what kind of leaders these guys are and what it takes to make a push to win a championship. I learned that you never know what road that you’re going to take so you just need to stay with it and have faith in yourself. It’ll work out in the end if you just keep at it and keep putting the work in.”

RATING: Incomplete.
The Galaxy’s third goalkeeper made just scant appearances in MLS Reserve League play, but with his size and ability to make a timely save, Rowe’s option was picked up for the 2013 season. This gives the young goalkeeper another opportunity to hone is craft and possibly see minutes in CONCACAF Champions League or U.S. Open Cup play.
