Three Points and Notes from LA Galaxy's 2-0 win over Sporting Kansas City

CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy picked up a 2-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday to move to 3-1-2 on the year.

My Three Points to the match are here.

A few notes are below....

Marcelo Sarvas' goal snapped LA's streak of 279 minutes and was the first goal since A.J. DeLaGarza scored in the 17th minute of the Galaxy's 2-1 defeat to Monterrey on April 3.

Sporting Kansas City's shutout streak ended at 545 minutes, which is fifth-best in MLS history and second-best in Kansas City's club history.

The LA Galaxy snap their winless mark at four games in all competitions.

LA's 2-0 win over Sporting is the club's fourth shutout of the season and first since March 23.

The crowd of 25,908 was the largest of crowd of the year to date at The Home Depot Center.

Landon Donovan's goal was his first in 2013.
