CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy’s reported pursuit of Mexican international Giovani Dos Santos has taken another turn.
According to the Spanish daily Marca, an 8 million euro transfer bid to Dos Santos’ current club, Mallorca as well as a 2 million euro contract offer were rejected by the 24-year-old. LA’s offer wasn’t the only one to be reportedly rejected as Marca reports that Mallorca rejected a significantly smaller bid from Spanish giants Valencia.
That’s not all, however, as the Spanish newspaper goes on to state that a bidding “war” could be brewing for Dos Santos between the Galaxy and Valencia.
When reached for comment, the Galaxy declined comment on the report.
