The LA Galaxy defeated FC Dallas on Sunday with a 2-0 victory.
Marcelo Sarvas and Hector Jimenez scored for LA. The shutout was the Galaxy's ninth of the season.
With the victory, the Galaxy move into third place in the Western Conference. They are just four points behind MLS Supporters' Shield leader Real Salt Lake.
LA return to action on July 13 against the Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field in Portland.
