Notes from the LA Galaxy's 2-1 defeat to the Portland Timbers

PORTLAND, Ore. - The LA Galaxy dropped a disappointing 2-1 defeat to the Portland Timbers on Saturday.

Bruce Arena did not speak to the media after the match. 


The LA Galaxy are 1-7-2 when conceding in the final 15 minutes. 


LA has conceded 15 goals in that span, which means that 60 percent of the Galaxy's goals conceded have come in the last 15 minutes of games. 


The Galaxy used the same lineup for the third consecutive match. The last time that LA did that was in the 2010 MLS Cup Playoffs. Last time in regular season June of 2010. 


The teams had plenty of passes as both teams combined for 823 passes (418 for Portland and 405 for LA)

LA earned three yellow cards while the Timbers earned four.
