Landon Donovan with a brace as the U.S. defeats Honduras to advance to Gold Cup final

Landon Donovan simply can not be stopped right now.

The LA Galaxy midfielder scored two goals and one assist as the U.S. defeated Honduras 3-1 to advance to the final of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Donovan's big night began in the 11th minute when he assisted on Eddie Johnson's opening goal. He'd add one of his own just 16 minutes later off a dish from Alejandro Bedoya. Honduras would the cut lead to one in the 52nd minute off a header by Nery Media, but Donovan put the match out of reach with his just a minute later.

Donovan now has five goals and seven assists in the Gold Cup. The U.S. will now face Panama at Soldier Field in Chicago, but may do so without head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, who was sent off late in the match and might miss the final
