After the Portland Timbers 5-0 shellacking of Chivas USA, the LA Galaxy can finish as high as third but as low as fifth in the Western Conference following their MLS regular season finale against Seattle Sounders FC.

WIN vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC
Finish as the number three seed in the Western Conference and face Real Salt Lake in the Western Conference Semifinals. LA host the first leg on either November 2 or November 3 at StubHub Center.
TIE vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC
Finish as the number three seed in the Western Conference and face Real Salt Lake in the Western Conference Semifinals IF Vancouver Whitecaps FC win or draw against the Colorado Rapids. LA host the first leg on either November 2 or November 3 at StubHub Center.
Finish as the number four seed in the Western Conference and host Seattle Sounders FC in the Knockout Round IF Colorado Rapids defeat Vancouver Whitecaps FC. LA host Seattle Sounders on either Oct. 30/Oct.31 at StubHub Center.
LOSE vs. SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC
Finish as the number four seed in the Western Conference and host Colorado Rapids in the Knockout Round if Vancouver Whitecaps FC win or draw against the Colorado Rapids. LA host Colorado Rapids on either Oct. 30/Oct. 31 at StubHub Center (LA and Colorado would be level on points, but hold MOST WINS tiebreaker over Colorado)
*Finish as the number five seed in the Western Conference and play on the road against the Colorado Rapids in the Knockout Round if the Colorado Rapids defeat Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
