LA Galaxy add Kenny Arena to their coaching staff as an assistant

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy bolstered their coaching staff on Monday by adding Kenny Arena as an assistant coach.

Son to head coach and general manager Bruce Arena, the 32-year-old spent the last two years as the head coach of Florida International University. Prior to leaving to coach the Panthers, who he lead to a 14-18-3 record, Arena served as the coach of the Galaxy Under-16 team, helping them win the 2011 GA Cup.

“We are pleased to add Kenny to our coaching staff,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena in a statement. “Kenny’s familiarity with the Galaxy, experience in player development and his knowledge of the college game make him a good fit for our club.”
