CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, February 11, 2014) – LA Galaxy II announced Tuesday that the team will hold its Inaugural Open Tryout at StubHub Center on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2. The tryout is open to male soccer players ages 18 and older looking to fulfill their dream of playing professional soccer for one of the most storied clubs in North America. Members of the Galaxy Technical Staff will be on hand at the tryouts to observe and evaluate players. At least one player participating in the Open Tryout will be awarded a trial with LA Galaxy II during the team’s preseason camp and has the chance to play in Galaxy II’s inaugural USL PRO campaign.
Tryout registration is $175 and each participant is guaranteed two 60-minute, full-field soccer games to impress the LA Galaxy II coaching staff. All interested players must register online at www.lagalaxy.com/tryouts. Space is limited. The registration deadline is Thursday, Feb. 27 at 5:00 p.m. PT. No registration forms will be accepted after that date. All registrants will be contacted with a schedule via e-mail on or before Friday, Feb. 28.

A first of its kind program in MLS, LA Galaxy II will provide playing time and development opportunities for players within the LA Galaxy player development structure. The USL PRO side offers a 28-game season and will feature LA Galaxy first team players, players signed by Galaxy II and LA Galaxy Academy players.
