On Thursday, the LA Galaxy announced the formation of the Sports Science department which will encompass the areas of sports medicine, nutrition, sports science as well as strength and conditioning.
As part of the formation of the program, the Galaxy announced that Head Athletic Trainer Armando Rivas will become the Director of Sports Medicine while new hire Alex Savva -- formerly of Tottenham Hotspur -- will become the Manager of Sports Science.
