LA Galaxy conclude road trip in Houston | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 12, 2014) – The LA Galaxy (2-2-3, 9 points) will conclude their longest road trip of the season when they play their fourth consecutive road match against the Houston Dynamo (4-5-2, 14 points) at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, May 17 at 5:30 pm PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.

The Galaxy put in a complete performance on the weekend with Robbie Keane finding the back of the net in the 92nd minute against the Portland Timbers, however, the home side found an equalizing goal from Diego Valeri in the 95th minute to end the match 1-1 in the Pacific Northwest.

The Galaxy will look to earn their first win against the Dynamo since 2011 after falling to the Orange-clad team in the past three MLS regular season matches. The LA side are 3-4-2 in matches played in Houston and 6-7-4 against Dom Kinnear’s squad. Despite the regular season results, the Galaxy have dominated Houston when it counts, defeating them in back-to-back MLS Cup Finals in 2011 and 2012.

Bruce Arena will be without the services of Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez, both of whom were named  to the U.S. Men’s National Team 30-man World Cup roster by Jurgen Klinsmann today. The U.S. Men’s National Team will convene in Palo Alto, Calif. on Wednesday, May 14 in preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
