CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, July 19, 2014) – LA Galaxy and Major League Soccer announced today that forward Robbie Keane has been named to the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star roster, joining teammates Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez. The MLS All-Stars will face German-champions FC Bayern Munich 6:30 p.m. PT August 6 at Providence Park in Portland, broadcast live on ESPN2, UniMas, and in Canada on TSN and RDS.

Since joining the LA Galaxy in 2011, Keane has racked up a total of 43 goals while adding 27 assists in MLS play. In 2014, he has scored nine times and recorded six assists in his 15 appearances, all starts. Keane has enjoyed much team and individual success as a two-time MLS Cup Champion (2011, 2012), MLS Best XI (2013) and two-time MLS All-Star Selection (2013, 2014). The current captain of the Irish national team is also Ireland’s all-time leader in goals with 53 in 114 appearances. Keane has scored 269 career goals for both club and country.

With his second-consecutive selection to the MLS All-Star team, Keane joins LA Galaxy teammates Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez on the roster. All three LA Galaxy players also were named to the 2013 AT&T MLS All-Star team that faced Italian side AS Roma in Kansas City last year.

Ten of the 19 MLS teams are represented on the roster and the LA Galaxy are one of just four teams to have three or more players named All-Stars (Sporting Kansas City, New York Red Bulls, Seattle Sounders FC).
