For the first time since 2009, all three finalists – Robbie Keane of the LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders FC's Obafemi Martins and the New England Revolution’s Lee Nguyen – took part in the MLS Conference Championships, which concluded last weekend.
The Volkswagen MLS MVP award is one of several league honors being celebrated this week in the leadup to MLS Cup 2014 between the Galaxy and Revolution on Sunday (3 pm ET; ESPN, UniMas, UDN, TSN1, RDS2).
