LA Galaxy players overjoyed to receive 2014 MLS Cup rings

The kings of MLS finally have their rings.

The LA Galaxy players and coaches received their 2014 MLS Cup championship rings on Monday at a private ceremony at WP24 in Downtown Los Angeles. The rings which were designed by Tiffany and Co. feature the Galaxy crest emblazoned in diamonds with a special touch of gold prominently showcasing their record fifth MLS Cup title. Along the frame of the ring, the player's name and the final score of the 2014 MLS Cup are shown while at the bottom, the Galaxy's playoff rallying cry "First To Five" is engraved.

"It was breathtaking," said Gyasi Zardes. "That's my first ring ever and it was just crazy to see my name engraved on the side of it. Oh my goodness."

Added A.J. DeLaGarza who now has three MLS Cup title rings in his possession, "I love them all, but this ring is pretty sick."

Galaxy fans will have a chance to have a ring ceremony of their own on April 12 when the club holds a replica ring giveaway when LA hosts Seattle Sounders FC. The first 15,000 fans through the StubHub Center gates will receive replica rings honoring the 2014 MLS Cup champions courtesy of Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
