LA Galaxy forward Alan Gordon has been nominated for the MLS AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 2 for his stoppage-time equalizer on the road against the Portland Timbers on Sunday.

After Portland had scored in the 90th minute to take a 2-1 lead at Providence Park, Alan Gordon gave the Galaxy the equalizing goal deep into stoppage time. The Galaxy earned a corner kick and Gordon beat his man to get on the end of a ball from midfielder Stefan Ishizaki. The Galaxy forward headed the ball perfectly into the upper left corner of the net past a helpful Portland goalkeeper. It was Gordon’s third game-tying goal since he joined LA last season.

Gordon goes up against Innocent Emeghara (SJ), David Villa (NYC), Fanendo Adi (POR) and Fabian Castillo (DAL).
