LA Galaxy II look to stay hot against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Sunday

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, May 1, 2015) – LA Galaxy II (2-3-1, 7 points) host Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (1-3-2, 5 points) Sunday at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium at 5 p.m. PT. The match will be streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com led by Time Warner Cable SportsNet’s Joe Tutino along with Ralph Perez.



Led by head coach Curt Onalfo, Los Dos will seek to win their third consecutive match Sunday. After earning their first win of the season two weeks ago over Austin Aztex, Galaxy II defeated Real Monarchs SLC last weekend on the road at Rio Tinto Stadium behind a last-second goal from Bradley Diallo.


LA Galaxy loanee Raul Mendiola leads all USL players with five assists on the season. The Galaxy are led by forward Ariel Lassiter, who has scored two goals on the season.


Under the direction of head coach Alan Koch, Whitecaps FC 2 have started the season 1-3-2, scoring five goals and allowing 10. In their previous match, WFC2 drew 1-1 against Seattle Sounders FC 2 at UBC Thunderbird Stadium. They are led by Caleb Clark, on loan from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, who has scored twice in six overall appearances.


Saturday’s matchup will mark the first time in history Los Dos will face Whitecaps FC 2. They will face each other one more time this season, on the road at Thunderbird Stadium UBC in Canada.
