LA Galaxy to host PSA Elite/Ventura County Fusion winner in first U.S. Open Cup game at StubHub Center since 2010

CARSON, Calif. -- At long last, the LA Galaxy will be hosting a U.S. Open Cup match.

U.S. Soccer announced on Thursday that the Galaxy will open the U.S. Open Cup fourth round at StubHub Center on June 17 against either Ventura County Fusion or PSA Elite. Ventura County reached the third round by knocking off LA Galaxy II on Thursday while PSA Elite defeated USL side Orange County Blues.

The match will be the first time that the Galaxy have hosted a U.S. Open Cup match since their 2-0 defeat of the now defunct U.S. Soccer Second Division side A.C. St. Louis back on June 29, 2010. LA have struggled in the Open Cup recently, having been eliminated by NASL club Carolina RailHawks each of the last three years.
