CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers made a major step forward in his injury recovery by going 61 minutes with LA Galaxy II in their 2-1 victory over Orange County Blues on Saturday.
Playing in his first match since suffering an ankle injury against FC Dallas on May 9, Rogers was solid at left back for Los Dos as they locked up their fourth win in five USL games. Galaxy II's win extended their winning streak against Orange County to five games all-time.
With his extended stint with Galaxy II in the books, Rogers is likely to be contention to appear for the first team when they make the trip to face the Columbus Crew next Saturday.
