MATCHUPS TO WATCH:
Marc Pelosi vs. Steven Gerrard
When Pelosi was with Liverpool FC's Academy, Gerrard was a "role model" to the U.S. youth national team stalwart, now he'll face off in the midfield against the English soccer legend in the league's fiercest rivalry.
Chris Wondolowski vs. Leonardo
Wondolowski is in red-hot form as of late with three goals in two games but he'll have to get by the Brazilian defender who is fresh off a "man of the match" performance against New York City FC.
Robbie Keane vs. San Jose Earthquakes defense
With all respect to Wondolowski, no one is hotter in MLS right now than Keane who has 13 goals and six assists in 10 games. There's no out that San Jose manager Dom Kinnear will tell his charges to do anything possible to shut down the Irish forward on Friday.
PREDICTED SCORE:
San Jose 2 (Wondolowski, Godoy); Los Angeles 3 (Keane, Lletget, Gerrard)
