Robbie Keane shoots down journalist who questions his goalscoring record | INSIDER

Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane is the greatest striker that the Republic of Ireland has ever produced and reminded an Irish journalist of that fact on Wednesday.

Speaking ahead of Ireland's Euro 2016 qualification playoff series with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Keane was asked if he needs to remind manager, Martin O'Neill of his goal scoring prowess. In true Keane fashion, the LA Galaxy and Ireland captain responded bluntly.

"I don't think I need to do that. I think 67 goals probably says that a little bit," Keane said. "I still have a lot to offer. I scored 20 goals in 24 games for the Galaxy this year, so it's not like I'm on my way out. I still score goals if I get the opportunities."
